Our Vision: Develop players that are technically, Tactically Mentally and Physically Strong. We also in this direction want to educate players who are hardworking, discipline, respectful and who are strong Academically. In General we would like to develop not only the best players technically but also well rounded individuals socially. Our goals are to get as many as possible of our players to play in high school, College and if possible Professionally. San Diego also wants to be a program not only for Players but also for ambitious Coaches who wants to develop players and themselves

#Our Philosophy

San Diego Rush is a community-based soccer program committed to providing a family-oriented and safe atmosphere for soccer players and their parents. Our goal is to develop soccer players at the recreational and competitive levels by placing an emphasis on technical skills, good sportsmanship, community involvement and excellence both on and off the soccer field.

Under the leadership of our Technical Director Johnson Asiedu the clubs coaching staff brings extensive international experience, and is a standout amont San Diego Clubs. Our blueprint for training guides our coaches for each age group, with training and practice methods designed to develop each player to be the best that they can be.

Technical Development

A central part of our training, technical development enables our players to not only cultivate a love for the game of soccer but also have the optimal soccer experience and enjoyment of the game. In order to achieve this we have established our approach to coaching.

Physical training

To be the best you need to train with the best. Our world-class coaches have years of professional experience playing and coaching. For our team, soccer is more than a game, it is a way of life. Our emphasis on continued education and development guarantees our clubs are a step ahead of the competition.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT

As part of our commitment to developing the total player, we have offered a tutoring club twice a week to assist players before or after practice sessions. We hope to return to these sessions soon.

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

At San Diego Rush we believe our players should be the best off the field as well as on the field: therefore we communicate with players, parents and others frequently to promote social awareness and cognition of our players. Players are expected to adhere to the guidelines for conduct and behavior as set forth in the San Diego Rush Player Handbook.

What makes us different

We are a Small Boutique Club On Purpose:

Coaches need to know each player individually in order to cultivate the most out of each player.
Each player needs time with quality coaches.
We will not have more than 2 teams per age group.

The Entire Club Plays and Practices Together at the Same Field:

We play and practice at a large field at Mesa Verde Middle School
Fields are easily accessible off the 56
We are not continually changing practice sites
Our club is a tight-knit community
Our fields get alot of usage and maintaining them is an ongoing effort. We are committed to working with other stakeholders on improving them

We Value Player Development Over Winning the Short-Term

This can be frustrating for some parents so San Diego Rush isn't a fit for everybody
